Our story
Klimate was founded on the realisation that a lot of good money is being wasted on bad offsets. This is wasteful at best, and greenwashing at worst.
We made it our mission to help companies do better, when they do good.
We are a small team of professionals dedicated to making a dent in the climate challenge. We each have our own specialities, but are all motivated by the same thing thing: Using business and technology to make a positive impact on reducing climate change.

Katja Grothe-Eberhardt
Co-founder and CEO
After three years working with consulting at Boston Consulting Group, Katja decided to go in a more entrepreneurial direction. She served as Partner and COO at blockchain platform BLOC, until leaving in 2020 to put all of her efforts towards reversing climate change for good.Â
Mads Emil Dalsgaard
Co-founder and CCO
An entrepreneur at heart, Mads Emil has started several startups. In his first employee-position, he helped more than 40 startup companies realise their potential by raising funds from investors all over the world. As CMO, he took the Funderbeam from Launch to more than 40.000 users in over 100 countries.
Simon Bager, PhD
Co-founder and CIO
Simon spent 5 years with COWI A/S advising public and private clients on sustainability issues. He left to pursue a PhD on the impact of corporate supply chain sustainability initiatives, and has contributed to several articles and reports on sustainability and climate change.
